Since December 2010 I've owned a Conquest which was named Lagatoo and in a brief entry on Register 3 it appears minus picture along with some notes regarding tidying it up ready for summer 2011. (Also featured with pictures on Your Pages, Kens trip with the Conquest)
Well we missed that date as I got into it a bit more than originally anticipated also hip replacements in May and August slowed me up for a while.
Durring the rebuild I found what I think was the first (Thames) licence 1979 when the boat was named KELSPRIDE. There is mention on the old forum of it being moved to Broadway on 6/9/2004 by John. Whilst polishing the front of the cabin I found it had also been called ALISSA. Also traces of the name LEGATO which I also had further (British Waterways) licences for. This is nicely pictured on Register 1 with a small write up. This had become corrupted at some time 2009/2010 to Legatoo when I was daft enough to buy it in December 2011.
Anyone able to fill it the gaps please contact me.
Just to confuse the old boat further I've changed its name again! Having had a word with Neptune and depositing all the old names on an ingot into the river as per the instructions, not being superstisious, just hedging my bets! I have renamed the boat GLADYS-MAY in tribute to my grandmothers.
Now the re-build phase is complete, I seem to have moved effortlessly into Modifications and Maintenance! Its going on the water for Sea River Trials in a week or so plus BSSC and if all goes well I hope to get a several days use over the winter.
I will be taking photos of it this week end which I will put on here so you folk can see what all the fuss has been about.
I've spent far more on the boat than its worth in resale value but the most valuable assett for the rebuild has been this site, its 'web master' Trevor, and its contributors, Lord John, his rebuild of Goldfish inspired me, Clive Shep, knowledge, information and insight you cant find in several books. Knighty, for the engine and superb hospitality. The Blog A Boat For My Pot Plants, kept me laughing. DF, envialbe engineering, fine advice and reminding me to seek comfort in beer! There are many more so to one and all mentioned or not, Thank You.

Mmmmmmm Beer! Glad you're due to get out and enjoy it but don't go using that F word, you know the one, (f*nished). With that many previous names you should have called it 'Alias'.
