Whilst I agree with Trev that there may be a tie with Callumcraft & Norman , Neils Boat is definately a TEAL 22 !!!
Childs Marine, original builder of Teal finalised company in the Mid-Eighties, sold its GRP fibreglass mouldings 1991-ish.
Tony Child (son of original designer, Fred Child) built many with his father.
Built by F.H. Childs, Heywood, Lancs
Most Teal boats were built in Ramsey by the Childs family and then the moulds were sold to IOM boat building company
based at the Brown Bobby in Douglas who only made 22 and 15 foot boats the 22 was the most popular and was called Manxman Cormorant (this was the later clinker type hull I believe not Neils variant that was built on the Rochdale!!)
If the rain stops I will be cruising the Rochdale & passing the old Heywood branch - If I find anything out I might just keep it to myself you doubting Thomas's !!!!

Jeez! I look into this nuthouse after about 3 years and you're still arguing about the same things.
Adi is (nearly) right. The rest of you are (as ever) useless.
It's a TEAL 23 made in 1965 by F.H. Child at Broughton's Yard, Smith Street, Rochdale, Lancashire. Tel: Rochdale 47886.
It was shown at the 1965 Earls Court Boat Show and the write up said:
Presented on the stand are the Teal 23 ft. and 26 ft. cabin cruisers, built with glass-fibre deep-V hulls and fitted out in timber. The 23 ft model, with sizeable after cockpit, can sleep four people - two in the forward cabin and two in the main cabin. A toilet compartment, sink unit, foam upholstery, linings and floor coverings are all included in the standard model, also deck fittings, steering, fendering and windscreen. The price is £685 for the standard model. (The 26 ft model is equipped in the same way as the the 23 ft model, but has a cenntre cockpit with two single berths in the forward cabin and two in the main after cabin.) Both cruisers are less than 7 ft. beam and can be used on canals.

Graham responded as such to my question on whether there was any tie between Teal & Callum / Norman

I suspect your email is now defunct - However I remember the information you gave me on our Norman 22 (1968) years ago which was invaluable.
Did yr Dad have any connection with F.H.Childs of the Teal Cruisers manufacture ?
Its been a long bone of contention on the Norman Boat forum as folks see similarities with the Callumcraft 22 hull
Any advice would be great

hope you are keeping well. I'm still here at this email address, so to explain:
Teal Boats was started by Fred Childs. My dad was a good friend of Fred even though they were competitors. In fact when Teal boats finished, Norman Cruisers took over their factory at Heywood. Fred then went to live in the Isle of Man.
There is a similarity between Normans and Callumcraft because the owner was originally a partner of my father in the days when the company was North Manchester Plastics (hence Norman - Nor from north and Man from Manchester) Therefore the hull was remarkably similar.

Just to stir the waters up a bit the Weston 670 center cockpit cruiser was also the Teal 22 hull with the mock clinker smoothed out,
and the cabin corners sharpened up to look more modern.
I have somwhere in my files a very old advert for a Teal made by NMP.
If I can lay my hands on it I'll scan it for you.
