Another question, previous guy who owned my boat (only judt bought it) made a bad job of painting outside, and got paint everywhere what's the best thing to remove the paint marks from the body of the boat..Thinners?Thanks Mike |

Don't use nitromors on gelcoat as it messes it up, strippit or dilunet are safe on grp/gelcoat, for small bits thinners may do the job.

Acetone is also safe and can be effective on some types of paint

| Thanks chaps, will try thinners see if that works, did try white spirit, meths, rubbing compound, polish and T cut, none worked though, just seemed to make it worse! |

Be careful if using acetone, I use it to clean set resin of my fiberglass laminating roller, it works very well! But then a chap in the states told me you can use a little on a cloth to buff GRP (I have not given that a try yet)
