can't find anything on this so if anyone can help please?
I've got a bildge pump with a black and red wire, a float switch with two grey wires, and a on-off-auto switch with a blue, yellow, orange, red, green and white which is marked earth wires. does anyone have a wiring diagram as I can't find one and these were ebay purchases and all came without diagrams?
Thanks

The wiring you want should connect up like this:-

I'm afraid I don't know what your switch terminal colour code means but you can probably trace wires to a switch?

| For those interested I have bought a bilge pump which is fully automatic. It doesn't need a float switch and you leave it switched on all the time. In search mode it only use's 0.20 amps per day. when pumping it uses 2amps and will move 500 gall,s per hr |

I have had two of the 'non float switch' bilge pumps die on me, I think they were rule pumps, never had a problem with the normal float type switches.

The pump itself was ok just the switch that failed.

We had a newish Rule automatic pump which very recently failed, the same thing as Df discribed has happened to our pump, there could be a manufacturing fault with the units, an email to Rule might be the answer.
