Hello people. First post so go easy on me!
I have a norman 20 & am looking at running a new circuit for additional lights, fridge, stereo etc. & am a little confused as to what cable to use. I have obviously been looking at 12v 2 core but I'm a little lost when it comes to the amps. Also, will I need more meatier cable to go from the battery to the control panel then smaller cable out from there??? |

Welcome to the hotbed of rabid lunatics that is NBAS.
2 core is good but it must be a muti-strand cable and not the twin & earth you use in houses, you realy need to know what amps you will be needing them to take under full load, longer runs should be thicker to allow for voltage drop, go plenty bigger for a fridge(don't even think of using a gas/240v/12v fridge on 12v as they eat batteries), you can indeed run a hefty cable to the main distribution panel and smaller for individual circuits.

Compressor fridges need a serious cable. Not due to current drawn, but something about being more efficient if there is absolutely no voltage drop.
My fridge power comes directly from the isolator switch along a meaty cable with it's own fuse. A neat solution, needless to say I didn't install it!!
