Right! I have the polycarbonate and measurements taken from another boat plus a secondhand hood to fit to my Norman 20 so now out with the cardboard and start making templates but does anyone have any ideas or tips to help me avoid the normal habit of making things three times before getting it right and the temptation of having a massive bonfire on the bank of templates, plastic, hood and possibly the boat.

Yes, plan it in the pub and it'll be fine!
