I am replacing all the stringers and just wondering what you think of my method, should it be done differently? is there anything I should be doing better etc?
I realise I am asking you to look at another forum and apologise for that, just makes no sense posting twice. Many thanks if you can spare the time and no worries if not.
Hi dnme Having spent 3 months scraping, sanding ,jet washing and chemical striping to remove the old anti foul on my previous boat (shetland 535) I know wash my mouth out . Have you consided soda blasting .I have not tried it yet but my new boat will require it soon. Good luck pete
That biaxial is a bitch to cut and handle. Especially cutting it into thin strips as I am. It stretches and thins with the force of a gentle breeze (that literally happened to me) and it's seriously thirsty and takes a lot of wetting out to get it completely wet. Great for going around corners but terrible in many other respects.
