Recently some kind person did nor raise the lock gate completely after going through leaving it about 8 inches to low for my boat, (a Norman 27). This was nor obvious until the bow neared the gate and then it was too late to stop the momentum as my boat does not respond very quickly. The result was the top of the windscreen was snapped up and kinked on one side of the split screen. Luckily the windows did not crack but the hood is now impossible to attach. Anyone any suggestions?
Similar think happened to Dads 23 (late model similar to the 27) This did break the glass , although the frame was straighted using timber / sheet aluminum & a vice & panel beaters hammer
Depending on the extent (not to bad on yrs I guess as glass is intact) The Aluminum extrusion can 'grow a lttle' as you straighten it.
