Seen this one for sale recently
Maybe on the D***craft Forum ?
If its not the same owner maybe worse than it looks ? (Have seen some terribly rotten transoms on 17's)

| There was an article the other day that said up to 1% of people are psychopaths. From the text in that ebay auction, we may have found one of them... |

The Callumcraft and the Freeman both belong to our Wayne (Me'n'Thee) on the DC forum. He's a really good lad and a bit of a character and I know and like him quite well. The Callumcraft was both sold and paid for, but never collected as the buyer fell into a coma and the agreement with his wife is that it be sold and she will get whatever it makes less the selling fees. Rather sad really.
The Mk1 Freeman is missing it's 100E or E93A Ford side valve engine - no great loss really, and was converted to outboard before Wayne bought it, and that's all I know of it. Wayne bought both to do up then fell in love with a Dalescraft and wants to concentrate on that. Frankly, as projects, either are bargains, especially the Callumcraft which has the stylish "boaty" step in the side decks and so is a bit of a rarity as well as a classic old boat.
As for the Freeman Mk1, in outboard format it would be unusual but Freeman have and had a reputation for solid, well made hulls and it would be a worthwhile project with the engine and stern gear replaced as fit out is a matter more of glassing in new bulkheads and lockers and you'd have a nice roomy (for it's size) classic 4-berth boat. Plenty of old and rotten wooden boats lying around to get the bits from.
The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids! |

Not sure Adi, he hasn't said so. I'll find out and post the answer IF it is available
