The Norman Register is up and running!
I have made entries for my last 3 boats (and a couple of test entries that will be deleted) but need some more to encourage people to post their piccies.
There's a button on the register page to request a login and all you need to do is chose a password (which can be changed once logged in), once added you can upload piccies with titles and descriptions, add a main title that your entry will be listed by and add your story be that an in-depth description of your boat or just a tale of your exploits on it, you can go back and add or edit when ever you like, come on chaps show off your toys!
It will be evolving as and when I get round to it problebly with a few more textboxes for things like engine type and configuration but your existing input won't be lost.
A search feature is among the plans which shouldn't be that hard to implement.
All boats welcome, doesn't have to be a Norman (2 of mine are not).
It's not a super slick interface (I'm a greasemonkey not a programmer) as it's a gallery script with bits added on but it's not that hard to pick up so go play, all feedback welcome.

188kb originally, I edited my post so you obviously picked up the pre-edit version. Postimage went down too but came back up the next morning.Don't know it it's them or me - maybe something in my cache screws it up?

Still refuses to upload the same image of the map I posted above with Postimage. Comes up with the error message "invalid string". I've opened and re-saved, re-sized, re-named that image - to no avail!

It won't allow me to upload any other image either, I get the same error message.

Not sure why you have any trouble posting pics here Clive.
As long as under 512Kb should be easy.

I use Opera because it has a free VPN and lots of extras like effective pop up blockers, but I also use Firefox. I use CCleaner to clean the computer but tell it to leave Firefox alone and keep Firefox for Ebay, Bank and Paypal transactions so logging in is dead easy as all the details are retained in cache. For everything else it's Opera and that is cleared regularly.I keep Microsoft and Google out of my private life as much as possible. I use geo-blocking as standard which gives interesting results if I type in "Where am I?" in Google.

The register now has a search function working, not a great deal of use now but will be as it grows.

This is the beautiful vessel Pickle moored at Keadby Canal after coming in from the Humber after a voyage from Cadiz where the original HMS Pickle sank. She was part of Nelsons fleet and was at Trafalger. Pickle is a full size copy albeit with certain modern aids eg a back up engine , gps etc. Any way on my first attempt at coming into Keadby from the tidal Trent i managed to knock a bit of paintwork off and lost a fender lol. I then Moored at the sanitary station across from the Pickle. Whilst inspecting the damage a bloke came out of the shower block and was looking at my Norman with a smile. He said the Pickle came in yesterday on a spring tide and never touched the sides. .

This my old Norman 27 called Jacob. Got her in 2014 when i retired. She served us well and has the scars to prove it. The tidal Ouze and Trent never bothered her. She had a 15 hp square top Honda which never missed a beat. Only stoppages i had were a fuel line bubble playing up and a gear linkage bolt falling out. Minds't it did fall off into the cut and i had to get a tow to civilization from a friendly narrow boat.
.
Zoom down a bit it all fits in.

Aah - thanks Dave. I don't have much else as everything was "pre Arisa" and I discarded most of it in fairness to her. I'll post the lot on one page easily as it's boats and engines various!

Extra pages are by request as it's one entry per boat register.
Login again and you'll find you have another entry.
I could do similar for general users piccie if enough people want.

Tip: there is a drag and drop area where you can select a bunch of files from a file manager window and drag to upload at once, but it will take longer than a single image obviously.

Found the password - thanks Dave. Didn't see your post at the time as emails are notified separately on my phone as well as laptop to went directly to the email.

Ok, got the message about posting up multiple pics AFTER I had spent many hours loading Kala Lua rebuild folder one laborious pic at a time for all 83 pics! Although to be fair the computer folder did not have them in proper build order so it made more sense to do one at a time.

Now - you put up loads of folders but darned if I can figure out how to put up a new folder for a different subject. Got some sundry pics of other boats and engine repaints/repairs - how do I create a new folder?
