Posted - 12 Oct 2020 : 23:31:01 Last year I had reason to take the RYA inland waterways helmsman examination. At the time I was a somewhat unconfident boater who was looking to Captain pleasure rides on The North Walsham and Dilham Canal. John took me out for some tuition and gave me so much confidence in my capabilities that he totally changed my outlook on boating for the better. I finally decided a few days ago upon his recommendation to do some coastal waters experience. It was When I contacted Norfolk Power Boat Training that I found out he had died unexpectedly about a year ago. John I only knew you for a few hours but you were a diamond and what a difference you have made to my boating, you said when we cast off that when we got back the boat would seem an awful lot smaller and you were right it did , you also showed me the centre line, as you said, one piece of string, complete control when mooring. Nicest Guy I ever met, go sail on calm waters my friend.
All the nice girls love a sailor !!!!!! |
