MACH1	Posted - 16 Sep 2019 : 14:05:55 Hi i seem to have a small amount of water on the botom of the boat how di i tell if its from the outside (river) or from the water tanks , can i put a dye in the tanks to see if its that , its got an auto bilge pump , so i dont know how much its leaking any ideas i am new to boating so know nothing doug DOUGLAS MARTIN

Mad Harold	Posted - 30 Sep 2019 : 08:37:14 Biggest culprit is usually windows and or window frame to boat sealing. Then anything that is screwed to the boat,rails,cleats,fender hangers etc.The rubbing strip fastenings (thanks Margaret,didn't think of that) Get an assistant to pour a bucket of water over various suspect areas,while you with a torch look inside. Margaret	Posted - 26 Sep 2019 : 10:07:27 Our boat had a small rainwater leak to the rear bilge. eventually traced to the new rubbing strakes , the screw holes for the old ones had not been filled properly. J.L mee
df	Posted - 16 Sep 2019 : 14:45:53 99% of the time it will be rain water or condensation build up, leaks around windows and fittings can be a git to find with the headlining moulding hiding where it's coming from, chalkdust is you friend for leak finding.
