Posted - 06 Jun 2019 : 22:48:08 Well all the hard work over the last 12 months or so finally paid off. Took my Norman 20 down to her mooring on the Broads and spent a couple of nights aboard. So pleased with how she performed Here she is on first night in South Walsham (Fleet) Dyke.

Posted - 08 Jun 2019 : 15:41:50 When I had my 23 down there, at Ranworth I used to moor in the dingy dyke without any problem. The other solution is that a friendly fellow boater might let you tie alongside and keep the outboard away from the quay. |

Posted - 08 Jun 2019 : 10:46:31 If going to ranworth you will need to pick your times and try to get the end spot that is stern on but also side on (if that makes sense). I'm not so familiar with the northern broads these daya as I rarely head up that way and anything past PH/Wroxham/Wayford bridges is out of bounds due to height. A season where I go north is a bad season as it means the weather has ben to crap to go to sea.

Posted - 07 Jun 2019 : 22:04:39 I cant recall having ever seen it done, but don't see it being a problem. That said apart from a few pubs and water points cant envisage needing to more stern on whilst I'm aboard. |

I don't have anything fitted to allow stern on mooring I'm afraid.

Posted - 07 Jun 2019 : 08:05:44 Looking good! Probably the best size boat for the northern broads, do you have anything on the back to enable stern on mooring at all?
