Posted - 28 May 2019 : 15:28:40 Hello, Had a very frustrating 72 hours trying to fit a new seal on a an oblong aluminium window approx (3 metres diameter 30 cm high approx) photo attached. Had the wife helping and my brother in law (a general maintenance man) but to no avail. After 4.5 hours today of us all trying its got to the stage where I need to book an expert to do it; however my boat is a Norman 18 or 20m from the 1970s so a car windscreen place that said they did boat windows, all of a sudden didn't. I am not sure who I should be approaching and how I find out about them on the internet, having searched withiout success. The local marina can't help. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can locate someone in the Yorkshire counties that can help? Thanks Mark

Posted - 28 May 2019 : 18:36:06 Did you use a length of string around the outer groove of the rubber, one pushes from outside while one pulls the string from the inside, lube the groove and edge first, make sure the filler strip is not in place. Theres a tool for the filler strip that seals direct sells.
