Posted - 12 Apr 2019 : 08:14:17 Main thing is spring is here and summer is close behind so get out and enjoy the boat, everything can be done as you go along or planned for winter once you have better ideas of how you are going to use it.

Posted - 12 Apr 2019 : 08:05:16 It has been a long exciting last couple of days and I was made up to get it running so if that’s the only mistake of the day I am happy sun is shining so a long hard day again. |

Posted - 11 Apr 2019 : 20:16:40 Waiting to take boat out of water but from what we can see it looks good.the otters had made no mess other than pike heads everywhere. They have been recorded whilst on board but I only have a picture of them. Today thresh fuel in the tank and with a little sorting of the wiring she was purring away. The boat has been kept totally dry. |

Posted - 11 Apr 2019 : 08:04:58 Has it been in the water all that time? It would be interesting to see the underside if so to see how it's stood up all this time. I would imagine a family of otters can make quite a mess, I've heard of mink destroying a boat over a winter.

Posted - 10 Apr 2019 : 21:27:48 Hi a bit more information regarding the boat I have bought. She was put in the shipment warehouse in Whaley Bridge and the doors were shut and it had not seen the outside world for seventeen years as no boat has been in or out since The boat is in a time warp no one has done anything with it except for a family of otters who moved on. There are pictures and a video on the Whaley bridge Canal page on Facebook of the boat being dragged out of the warehouse after seventeen years. |

Posted - 27 Mar 2019 : 06:07:38 Welcome Chevron. Suggest you plan a three-stage restoration:
1. Do the bare minimum to get a functioning, floating boat.
2. Get out there on the water over the summer and use the boat a few times.
3. Freshly armed with the knowledge of what the boat *really* needs, plan and complete the restoration, not that these things are ever truly complete!
