Hi everyone,i'm a newbie to all this, having recently purchased my first boat, a Norman 23, I've noticed there's a water filler cap either side at the stern, are they for two separate tanks, or do they both go into one, thanks for any advice.

Don't just go by a breather though as the water tank should also need a breather.

My N23 also has two fillers - one for fuel, one for water. The Fuel tank should have a breather pipe which is checked during the BSS Inspection.

Welcome to the nuthouse!
You'd need to follow the pipework as Normans were fitted out in so many different ways and was likely done by an owner at some point, I'd have a sniff at the filler to just in case one is a fuel tank with a water filler cap used out of convenience, may even be a holding tank so sniff carefully.
