Took our little boat on its maiden voyage yesterday, on the Thames and Severn Canal in Stroud. We'd briefly had it on the water before just to test the outboard but this as the first proper trip out since I installed all the controls and fixed up a few things.

Everything went very smoothly apart from the bit where the hatch cover bounced off on the road journey there. Oops.

A great day on the water, and only a bit chilly.

Was that a wi fi selfie on one of the pics mate. Or possibly a collaborator on a bridge. Either way great pics.

I work alonside the canal, in Thrupp. The bit of canal by us is full of water, but there is still a short dry section towards Stroud. Looking forward to it all being open to Brimscombe. (.... and ultimately The Thames, though probably not in my lifetime)

Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads!
