Posted - 09 Aug 2018 : 18:06:04 Hi new to forum and Norman boats, having just moved over from a Freeman, wanting @ Diesel engine instead of petrol. anyway just fitted an alternator to,our Perkins 108 engine and notice pulley does not seem to line up properly, the problem seems to be with the bottom bracket , which Is forcing the new alternator to stand out a little, do I need a new , thinner bottom bracket, .?anyone else had this problem ?

Posted - 09 Aug 2018 : 18:38:40 A close up piccie of the bracket would help, some alternators have a sliding sleeve (tight but moveable) on one end so the other end can be spaced with washers to help alignment.
