Hi. Have not been on forum for some time, I have just removed the starter motor on my Norman 29 wide beam, fitted with the old six cylinder sabre engine i believe 80hp. I need starter motor rebuilding or a replacement if someone has one hanging about.

Or check for local motor rewinds or auto electrical place as it's always cheaper without a piccie of a boat on the box.
If it's a lucas starter there's usually a black cover on the solenoid you can buy separately with the contacts included, these are the bits that generally burn out and fairly easy to fit, the motor itself itself is often fine, once the contacts burn it gives all the signs of a knackered starter.

If you can't find one, Lancing would not be the worst place to start looking!
