Posted - 22 Aug 2017 : 18:56:05 Hi folks, just an update on Jacob's latest adventure.Went up to Sowerby Bridge via Castleford Wakefield and Brighouse . Everbody said make sure you have your length of 3x2 to operate the unique lock mechanism. My arse, make sure you have arms like popeye to work the conventional windlass gear that accompany them, some are beyond a joke. Good time though , back in Stanley Ferry on the way home. Then Cas then Heck. Photos mounting up Trev once i learn how to do it.

Posted - 24 Aug 2017 : 20:04:52 Add on to my last post, there was a fellow 27 moored just across the cut. Open top, seats and cushions out in the open air 10 pm and no sign of life. Too good to be abandoned. No it was folk who had started the Brighouse Festival early that day and were on board snoozing. Anorak moment but i saw some big bands in the early 70s ie zeppelin , who etc but there was a young lady in Brighouse market using a good pa and sound set up doing Stevie Nix Radiohead etc for free. If i had got there earlier i would have joined em. I know it aint much to some folk on here but i'm saving on legal fees. lol
