So, we took the plunge and bough a 40 year old Norman 20 in need of a lot of restoration. Knackered canopy, water everywhere, rotting wood,etc - but most of that is fine.
My issue is it has a skylight (500x500) that leaks. I was very pleased with myself to buy a lovely new one on eBay for just £100' - bargain!!!
Then I noticed that the existing skylight is not flat #128551;, why on earth would you do that???
So, one handle has broken off the the original hatch and it leaks like a sieve, plus the perspective is uv damaged.
I can't find a Norman 20 skylight anywhere and I'm stumped as to how to resolve my issue.....

They often sit on a wooden surround that takes the shape of the boat or is it the hatch itself that isn't flat?

Hi,
If I were in your position, I would try and remove the whole fitting, try and remove the Perspex/glass intact and go to any glazing company and get them to make you a replacement, most reputable glazing companies will be able to make a toughened glass replacement to match, you could even get it tinted (not that expensive), then take the frame to an engineering company/metal works and get them to make you a replacement using the old one as a template
