Posted - 03 May 2017 : 23:58:51 Linked to what Phil has been saying in a way, I really would like more folk to send pictures. If you have a favourite or one you are proud of I'll stick it on the front page for our wee bit of the world to see!
The Peregrines seem to have lost three of the four eggs now anyway and have a solitary chick left so I need a change! |

Posted - 27 Jul 2017 : 08:13:10 Looking for sea going? At 16knots southwold is only 1.25 hours from the mouth of gt.yarmouth and a lovely spot to stop.

Posted - 26 Jul 2017 : 19:50:37 No not yet, had a canoe down the Ouse and am glad we've left loads of weed and shallow. Think iam going to sell captain jack and get something else without a old volvo in it. We looked at a ds 30 in brundell but it was a bit rough, and was going down to Cornwall this weekend to look at a fjord but he won't move on his price enough for me. So we are looking.

Posted - 26 Jul 2017 : 17:21:09 I think the vibration has either eased or I've got used to it, it gets on the plane easier now and I can back off a bit more without dropping into a hole at the back so that is better. Got to do some fuel polishing as had some crud block the filters on the outing and had to limp into bradwell on one engine, still limped faster than I ever cruised on Leo You've not given up on the broads yet then.

Posted - 26 Jul 2017 : 13:28:35 How's the boat going now Dave since you have taken the metal work of the hull. Did you sort the vibration out? We have had to have a year off this year due to engine trouble. Think I've sorted it now, need to put it in the river at Jones to test. Before taking it back to Norfolk.

Posted - 09 Jun 2017 : 17:54:21 There was an offer from her accountant/barman Peter but I had to point out if I moored there I'd never stop there as I'd get on the boat and go somewhere every time, I had a similar offer from the ship at reedham that would have cost me nowt when Rod moves his barge but same thing, I'd rarely use the pub and it's not as easy to drive too. Strange realy how these these work.

Posted - 07 May 2017 : 13:56:09 I still have a whole load of pics detailing the total rebuild of an old 18.5 which were done as a lesson for the Dawncraft Owner's Club.
I took them all down from Photobucket when one of their idiots gave me flak and closed the account although they did get in touch a few times asking me if I wanted it reinstated.
There are quite a lot covering the total strip back to a shell, respray, and the rebuild back up. Probably better put in a separate photo section with a link so folk can see how to tackle some of the more daunting jobs, let me know if you want me to upload them all again and post on here somewhere appropriate wherever you choose.

Finally living the dream!
