I need to replace the rubbing strakes on my Norman 24 as the timber ones have gone. Does anyone know if they are fixed with captive nuts, and what do you think about rubber replacements. Any views or advice.

I doubt the nuts are captive, often it's just self tappers.
Rubber is fine but can leave black streaks down the side when they get wet,I think it's epdm that doesn't leave the streaks, seals direct do a discount if you mention this forum and will send samples.
