Posted - 23 Jan 2017 : 14:06:01 Hiya Im rebuilding my side window but what can i use to seal the miterd corner joints ? Boat yard has recomeded jb weld or the equivalent ?? Tbh that wat i think is on mystatic caravan ?? Any ideas Also anyone have a hard top on 23 rather than a canopy i found a pic but can nolonger find it |

Posted - 24 Jan 2017 : 17:38:34 JB Weld will not do the job. It sets hard and (mostly) inflexible.
I don't know if you need a sealant at all but if you do then something like Sikkaflex would be my choice. |

Posted - 24 Jan 2017 : 08:11:20 The rubbers should seal the channels as long as you cut them to butt up tightly and the outer flange should be sealed by the sealant behind it, I like hatchseal neoprene tape for behind window frames as it's much less messy than mastic alternatives. Opening window runners need rubbers cutting where the drains are so the water can run outside, seal the drains and they WILL leak to inside.
