Posted - 02 Jan 2017 : 06:38:58 I was 71 on Christmas Day. Not exactly a world-shattering event I know except half the planet celebrates my birthday but unknowingly. This has a point - read on!
Arisa and I have been going out on the motorbike to feed homeless dogs in the countryside. Lots of Thais do the same thing, something about merit gained I think. Anyway, we saw this emaciated bitch that had clearly had pups and was starving - so we went and bought some cooked chicken and rice and went back and gave her food. A passer-by told us she had a litter hidden in the edge of the jungle and we went to look.
So there we found a little cave in the ground with 7 puppies and we got some food and plastic ice-cream tubs and gave them food and water.
So now we feed parents and puppies and Arisa, seeing I loved one little fluffy bundle agreed to let me bring her home.
So our Cocker is jealous of my Christmas Day gift - a 4 week old puppy girl called "Laika" after the Sputnik dog of 1957.
