Hi can anyone help please.
I have a Norman 32 with I think a transaction drive leg how can I identify it and I need to know how to tilt it in case I get something round the prop. I've looked on google but can't find any photos or information .

I had a Transa drive on my 32 and lifted the prop out of the water using a piece of 3x2 and a rope over the transom when I got snagged on a line that someone had left dangling in the river. Didn't need to disconnect anything,I just pulled the leg straight up.

If it's like an enfield leg mag sure you pull the spung pin out before trying to wind it.
It's easier to attach a shackle above the skeg and lift straight up by hand, very easy if you flick the reversing catch first.

Found this with Google... sounds much like the Enfield.
Oh, and another thing inside the boat where the engine shaft joins the transa-drive there is a socket at the top of the housing that takes a bar with a pin through the bar ( like a starting crank from an old car) to locate in the socket, does anyone know what this is ??

Hi Kev,
There should be a hole in the deck above socket that takes a rod like a starting hande with a crank in it. This for winding the leg up. The leg comes up to about 105 degrees - just over parallel to the water. If your leg comes up to starboard, you can wind the leg up, remove the filler plug drain into a large funnel other wise remove the top of the housing with a large bowl under to catch the oil

Put up a photo of the top of it. It can then be identified. I have a Enfield on my 32 and a sonic on my Calamcraft.
