Posted - 12 Jul 2016 : 22:49:10 I've stuck over 150 ft of masking tape on Bertie throughout her re-vamp. I've stupidly left it on for about 4 weeks through several rain storms, bit of sleet and a few days of glorious northern sunshine! eeeeekkkkk. Its now super brittle and doesn't want to come off. Any top tips?

Posted - 14 Jul 2016 : 22:14:00 Ah! I've just thought of a top tip:
Don't leave masking tape on for 4 weeks, you nutter.
If you need any other top tips, just ask. |

Posted - 13 Jul 2016 : 09:27:14 We recently had the same. We used new masking tape, that came of lovely, even after 3 weeks left on. Then we ran out and used some old tape and 3 days later couldn't get it off. It also bled paint through like mad (the new stuff didn't).
We're still working on ours, but 99.9% is off. We pulled off as much as we could, then used Sticky Stuff Remover to remove the remaining residue. Massive pain in the butt. |
