Posted - 02 Apr 2016 : 02:05:19 I've just bought my first boat, a Norman 23! Got it super cheap (£1000) because the interior is dire (hull is sound) The interior has no roof lining (its down to the fibre glass) and the kitchen/seating area needs refitting.
I know I can find out how best to go about lining the roof from my good mate Google, but where can I buy second hand boat parts i.e. new galley etc
Anyone recommend any sites?

For secondhand parts, look no further than eBay..... search for caravan breakers... the same stuff, but much cheaper.

Second this for caravan parts BUT for a gas cooker it has to comply with Boat Safety Scheme regs which means flame failure on all burners which of course rules out most cheap caravan galleys. It also rules out that old favourite the RAM Electrolux fridges!
Of course - if you can claim to the examiner that "this stuff was fitted years ago and so is exempt" you might get away with it,might! On the other hand if you run a petrol boat examiners will simply fail you and that's that. Finally living the dream!
Just to clarify.... having read the rules... Yes a gas fridge with a pilot light will fail on a petrol boat. BUT an existing (ahem!) period gas cooker will not, even without flame failure devices.
