Spare a thought for the poor "Oh my word"s caught out again by the floods. We used to leave Selby (flooded) for Naburn also flooded passing under the bridge at Cawood. Always a welcome sight was the bridge man waving down to you and passing on your progress to the lock at your destination. NOW if you went down the river you could look down on him if he stood on the bridge deck. The power of angry water is frightening. Roll on next year when hopefully it's a distant memory.By the way have a good un everyone on this site.
