I've renamed two boats, don't know about asking permission. Make sure you contact your insurance and licence people. There is an ancient ritual on relaunch for good fortune toasting Neptune etc !
First boat was ok, boat I have just renamed refused to start at first and leaked a seacock maybe because I didn't do the ritual who knows time will tell

I've been told that you have to ask the boats permission if you want to rename it.

Mark Atkinson.

Relax..... Buy a boat!
