Hi. The front windows on our 23 are the rubber surround ones, see pic.[URL=http://s1254.photobucket.com/user/maatkinson/media/Mumnanin/imagejpg16_zps00ad9330.jpg.html] We had them replaced about 18 months ago. We have had the company that replaced them back on numerous occasions due to leaks. They are now getting very evasive, as there are still leaking. We have decided to bite the bullet and get them done again. Is it possible to have aluminium framed ones fitted instead of the rubber surround ones?

Filler strips are available in all sorts of colours..... black is one of them...???
It should not be a big job to get those windows to seal. You may need some sealant. Do NOT use silicone!!!! It will never ever seal and you will reduce any chance of ever getting it to seal.
The best stuff is called Abormast BR. It is butyl based and works well with rubber. It comes in a cartridge. Some chandleries stock it... ebay?
Take the windows out, put plenty of BR in the groove in the rubber.... both sides. Put them back in with string if needed... google it!! You will need the funny tool to get the locking strip bak in.
Wipe up the mess with white spirit and paper towels..... lots of them!!
They will not leak!! A reasonably easy DIY job for two people.... allow most of a day.
Metal frames are OK, but produce loads of condensation in the morning after you have slept on the boat!!! More drips!!!!

I looked at your photo and it looks to me like they have not put the filler strip in. They are normally in silver finish. Without this the rubber will not grip the opening. You need a special tool to fit this.
