Posted - 09 Mar 2015 : 18:44:12 Hi all
I have a Norman 23 MkIII (Angel Chariot - register 4). It has a plate stuck above the helm moulding with Norman Boats printed on it. It Black and silver and has a space for a boat number, which is blank. However, under this space it is stamped 23954. I can guess the 23 is 23 feet, but surely it can't be build number 4 of 1995?
Any experts throw any light on this? I'll take a photo this weekend and post it next week if no-one can help with my poor description.

This is the plate stuck on the helm - does this make any sense?

Posted - 10 Mar 2015 : 07:42:41 Cannot be 1995 as Norman boats had finished by then, and cannot be 4th boat of 1995 built as they wouldn't know the production run when built. They usually scribbled some data in pencil or marker pen in the bow inside the cabin hiding under glued on carpets. On my 20 it was on the port side about a foot or so from the front. |
