Posted - 04 Mar 2015 : 00:06:28 Hello Fellow Norman enthusiasts - I would like to fit those bull-bar-type rails to the stern of my Norman 23 to protect the outboard motor. What are they called please so I know what to call them when searching? If anyone on the forum has any for swap or sale - I would be interested. Many thanks, Florian

Posted - 04 Mar 2015 : 01:46:15 Just had a Google, I can't find a definitive name for them either. Ski tow bars (our Yank friends), protection rails, outboard motor guards etc. etc. If you struggle getting a used one, might be cheaper to get a metalworks to knock one up for you instead of buying the expensive 'marine' version of a nothing more than a bent scaffold pole - just a thought. I'm sure you know this, but be wary when locks are filling as they have a tendency to drift under ledges/ladder rungs etc (I'm a newbie learning the hard way!) All the best! |
