Hello again in the forum,
My recently bought N23
On lifting the cabin floor in front of the cooker I found water seeping from under the cockpit floor which had some water there. This looks like an old problem as there's water damage to the kitchen unit base and patching on the fibreglass between the cabins. I sponged and dried it out but it was back to the same level of water after a short run up river. What do you reckon should be my next step to keep this area dry? There's a little bilge pump under the forepeak where there's water - do you reckon another one's needed under the cockpit cabin? Is this 'normal'?
Many Thanks, Florian

Check between the cross member (prob a boaty name for them ) as on my 20 I had a lot of water get in the stern from the canopy which fell in before I bought it. The cross pieces had drainage holes in them so it is prob water elsewhere which is seeping through. When I got a bit of wire and poked the holes clear under the bow locker water poured out. It did dry up and never had a problem afterwards. If they are clear water is obviously getting in somewhere. But my guess is water is collected somewhere and just seeping through the drainage holes refilling the area by the cooker again.
