Hi again.might be moving to a mooring that has shore power.HURRAY.... But my boat a 23ft not sure of year.does not have it on board. Could someone tell me how much this would cost to sort out please

You can get small consumer units from the likes of screwfix for about £20 they have 2 cb's and rcb . You then need to put the wiring in, permanent charger etc. And get a power cable and input socket. Sounds a lot but its much neater and will cost about £100 ish. Obviously you must know what you are doing.

Fit an automatic battery charger too so when plugged in your batteries are getting well cooked, go for a proper self voltage checking one with multi charging stages.

cheapest way to do this is to have an extension flex made up with a
RCD socket on the end, this can be used for casual use

to have a consumer unit installed can be expensive
