Hi again everyone, hope you all had a great new year. As a total newbe to boats I wondered if there was anyone out there who could spare the time to meet me at my boat (norman 23) on the river ouse york and talk me through the basics of what is what on her and how things such as water heater/pumps etc work, also it would be great if anyone could take her out on the water for me and teach me the basics as I have not had her out of the marina yet. I would be willing to pay any expenses.

Hi Trevork thanks for your kind offer, I would love to take you up on it as I am desperate to learn all about my boat as I have had her since October and not been able to use her yet (she is currently stored on land for the winter). I will keep you informed of the next time I am able to make it to the marina, hopefully when the weather picks up a bit and we can try to arrange to meet. Hopefully then I will learn what all the wires and pipes are for and be able to make some use of them even if I can't get out on the water yet.

I'd be willing to give it a go. Not that I'm a wizard with electrics though. Also I know sod all about outboard motors! Cruising, mooring, general handling no problem. Actually recognizing what is what is OK too. Anyone else around this bit of Gods County that could join in?
