Posted - 27 Dec 2014 : 15:06:46 Hi all. We're refitting the galley area in the spring. We're after a new sink/drainer unit. Can anyone recommend a good place to start looking. Not sure on stainless or moulded? Thanks in advance.

You will, of course, take the bottle off first???!!!!

Posted - 28 Dec 2014 : 12:27:22 If you are taking it out don't think you will need a fitter as after taking the bottle and regulator and cooker/hob out it will not come under the next BSS test. Well mine was ok when I took mine out (I am gas Safe registered though) it was just marked not applicable on the report sheet. Took bottle regulator and hob/flex out, copper pipework was still in place. If you are going to use a portable gas hob keep it well away from the boat on the next BSS test as examiners hate them. Gas in a baked bean can my examiner said. |

Posted - 28 Dec 2014 : 10:46:29 Thanks for that. Shall have a butchers. Also, we're going to remove the cooker. Does it need to be removed by a gas fitter? Or can we take it out by ourselves? It's the only gas appliance we have on the boat. So basically we'll be removing the bottle and all the pipe work as well.
