Hi all,
I'm going to change the control cables soon, along with the throttle control unit. At the moment the 2 cables I have are of different makes, a Morse & Teleflex. My engine is a Yamaha 9.9.
It would nice to know if there are any preferences as to what make I should be looking for.
I recently changed the steering cable, ( with success, a bonus for me!! ), and used a Ultraflex model.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have a similar set up to me, including the Yamaha 9.9hp outboard. I have a N20
I changed all my throttle and steering gear last winter and it makes a huge difference.
I bought mine from a company at the Northern Boat Jumble. They were genuine Teleflex and they work great.
Just be sure to measure up properly before you buy. There are loads of websites giving quality advise....
