Deposit taken for boat and trailer at near asking price. Thanks for all the nice comments really appreciated

She/he will be surely missed as being our first boat but onwards and upwards as they say. Or is that bigger and more expensive

Lots of enquiries for more photos, 650 viewings on Boatsandoutboards ad but no viewings.
Away on hols for 2 weeks soon so if no offers by then am selling to my local marina prob without the trailer.
If anyone wants to register an interest in the Peak braked trailer 22ft long for £800. Data badge is barely readable but have contacted Peak who are about 5 miles from me and they have confirmed it's a heavy duty axle model with approx 1300kg max load built 2003. I bought it from a chap who trailered a 23ft Norman but think that would be prob max and overhung a bit. Fits my 20 great, fully adjustable bunked sides and winch cradle. Will throw in the tow ball lock as well.

Getting fed up with Boatsandoutboards, paid £16.99 for a private ad and they keep rejecting it. I edit it but within a few hours they keep rejecting it, happened about 10 times now. I could understand my first free ad which I put a link up for more photos and a link to this forum but not now I am paying.

Take the money and then sell the trailer on eBay
Deano Posted - 22 May 2014 : 17:39:32
Take the money.... then call the Freeman man and tell him you have the money in your hand... wave notes under his nose...... it often works.

Hi Billy nice to hear from you.

Popped it to my local marina today that does my servicing and supplied the engine and was enquiring about craning out and winter storage with a bigger boat and when I mentioned I was selling he asked what money I was after then immediately offered me just over £4000 as he knows what the boat is like so that's an option to get a quick sale if needs be. May consider selling trailer separately if I go this route as he gave me a price to buy just the boat as well. Don't know why he wants it as they are a narrowboat supplier/dealer. Haven't heard back from the chap who I put an offer on his Freeman so that's unlikely unless I up my offer.

Knighty,

Don't sell your boat for a penny less than its worth. The right people will pay the right amount for quality. The new engine is a big selling point. I've always sold my boats for more than the average price because like you I add value. An offer of £2.5k for your boat is an insult.

Good luck

Billy
