Posted - 21 Apr 2014 : 23:07:34 After being layed-up from November untill last week so that I could carry on with all the jobs I didn't finish last year, we had our first trip out on the river. We went from Erith to St Ives with a stop off on the way back for a pint and some lunch at The Ferry Boat Inn on the Great Ouse, for a bank holiday the river was very quite with no problems mooring at St Ives and we were the only one moored at the Ferry Boat which is unusual, not sure if it as changed hands since last year but the place was half empty.
The weather was kind today with no rain got back into Erith at about 7.30.pm having left at about 10.00am.
All in all a very nice day.....Back to work tomorrow.
