Posted - 19 Mar 2014 : 22:31:33 Eyup chaps I've just bought a solar powered mushroom vent. I want to fit it where one of my old white plastic vents were and was wondering if anyone else had done this and how difficult is it? |

I cannot seem to get some of the joints on the alluminum frames to sop leaking .
anyone got a suggestion. The windows were all taken out and resealed to the boat using non setting mastic (caravan window type stuff) during the rebiuld |

Posted - 02 Apr 2014 : 22:40:44 Fitted it yesterday as it was sunny and warm for a change. Yep it was a dodde to fit . I also had a look at my Houdini hatch that has been leaking, and it seems to have been fitted incorrectly (like everything on this boat so far lol) so I ended up removing the hatch compleat lay and re fitting it. Hopefully I'm now leak free

Posted - 02 Apr 2014 : 21:55:52 real easy to fit steve. I actually fitted one in a new location and ducted through to the loo compartment with some household extractor pipe bends. works a treat

Posted - 20 Mar 2014 : 12:54:13 Hi Steve
I have a 23 and the vents were just in front of the windscreen. when we replaced them with Solar vents we had to cut the hole a little bigger but apart from that we had no trouble. the boat has been closed all winter and still smells as fresh as a daisy no damp and so I would definitely recommend them.
