Not that keen on Nottingham but my preferred as follows;
Beeston - Just past the lock, usually quiet & close to Beeston facilities & also the clubhouse at the Marina which apparently is ok!
Castle Marina - Just past the entrance towpath side, near Sainsbury. Not somewhere I would stop but plenty do !!!!! We usually stop for shopping and then move on.....
Holme Pierpoint - Limited space here & some spaces have a annoying shelf. Good spot at weekends as you can get up over the bank & watch the canoe slalom events.
As its close by - carry on to Stoke Lock If you arrive earlyish in the afternoon you should get moorings (Prob easy at this time of yr)
Then its downstream & the Ferryboat & also Gunthorpe !!! We prefer Stoke lock & Gunthorpe !
Remember - Holme Lock is currently on stoppage.
