Posted - 30 Jan 2014 : 12:29:49 I need to replace my Steering Cable on my N20 and I wondered if anyone could recommend a source or manufacturer. My current one is an old Teleflex Cable which has had its day. I believe that I could replace it with a Ultraflex, however I would be interested to know of anybody's good/bad experiences
Thanks ! |

Posted - 27 Feb 2014 : 12:29:35 I Managed to find a UltraFlex T67 Helm with Teleflex cable plus connecting link to outboard. All delivered for £93.00, so i'll fit it this weekend and see how things go |

Posted - 31 Jan 2014 : 16:02:06 I think i got the steering kit from fleabay. My problem is I can't remember what happened yesterday let alone 2 years ago, however the beloved is good with things like records and receipts so I will get her to try and find the supplier, and hopefully will come back with news over the weekend.

Posted - 30 Jan 2014 : 17:14:04 When we did our Norman 22 about 2 years ago, there was some debate about the type and model of steering fitted, so ordering a cable became a challenge. In the end I got a kit with the steering box and cable for about 20 quid more than the cost of a cable alone, and it fitted on to the engine/transom bracket with no problems. Not saying its right for you, but buying the kit may save a lot of bother.
