That's an odd title I hear you mutter! But, like the title says, this is true so I can rant as much as I like!

Why do I want to rant? Because for the first time in my life I've been given the big heave ho from a role on a website forum! Who has committed this henous deed? The Norfolk Broads.net forum. When this forum recently tried to reinvent itself after a lot of internal strife and wrangling, it invited me to be a moderator. Maybe I should never have said yes but I did. I soon discovered that a mods role on there was simply to rubber stamp one persons wishes and thoughts and not to have a mind of ones own. I could not abide by this and someone asked in open forum about a particular pub. I posted that I would not visit it until there was a new landlord. Some folk wanted to know why so I told them by PM.

Now I'm not a Mod any more! Hey ho, just goes to show how terrified some folk are of serious information.

Wow !

This takes me back 10yrs when I got banned from the DC forum for a 'Thats Sad' post

Trev - Rant on ! Its your pram & throw as many balls out as u want !

Its rare you have to 'moderate' us (Unusual as u have Me, DF & Ian as members!) - The NBAS members are one of the best bunch methinks.

Free speech ? Obviously not in deepest Norfolk !

Time for a few new accounts on the Broads forum............ ?

Free the Wakefield One

What? This forum belongs to Trev????
I thought it was mine! And Dave definitely thought it was his!

Anyway, I find it very amusing that Trev has been deemed unsuitable to be a mod. This forum is moderated with the lightest of touches and, crucially, very fairly.

Far be it from me to over-react or exaggerate but it's clear that The Norfolk Broads.net forum is run by a power-crazed fascist fool. Maybe they are a spin-off from GOBA

Anyway, Happy Christmas everybody!

I blame the war. You stick you head over the top of the trenches; you get shot at! These days any departure from bunker mentality or not following the corperate line is just asking for trouble! Kind of fun though!
