Hi there I need to move my Norman 23 from middlewich branch of the shroppie to congleton area of the macclesfield canal and looking at the possibility of having it moved by road. I'm near to aqueduct marina who have told me that the trailer needs to be backed quite far into the water on their slip so to let the mover know that. I was wondering if anyone knows who does boat moves so I can get a price and book? I'm relocating with my job and not had the boat long so thought I might give heartbreak hill a miss lol.

Thank-you and any info very much appreciated.

Trish

After doing it three times this year I'm not planning to go middlewich way anytime soon

Blimey, that looks like serious hard work!

Not a job to do on your own I wouldn't imagine. It'd take weeks

What's Heartbreak Hill?

Sounds like quite a task whatever it is.

Just to update...I made it by water with help and took three days. Raining like heck now so looks like it was good timing.

Thanks - yeah I did heartbreak hill twice in August with a friend sharing the locks. Not feeling confident on my own with the weather being so horrid lol need to be there for work so got a deadline to meet.

Heatbreak hill is not that bad !!! Its a hard full day or split it - A weekend would see you in Congleton (Although it gets harder as the days draw in).

Shame yr not a bit nearer - could have helped wind you up the Hill easy in a day !

Hi Simmy

You can also try Nick Lancaster 07850911816.
He seems to operate in the N/West and dosnt charge the earth.

Good Luck
