I am cleaning up and re-sealing all the windows on my N22. I have done the fixed ones with new rubbers (and laminated glass) and now I am finishing off my sliding windows. Fine wire wool cleans up the frames, I have made new brackets out of stainless steel and I have the new seals to surround the glass. BUT, there is one very corroded part that I cannot yet replace — the sliding window handle. The frames are labelled Northern Windows and the sliding pane is moved by a wrap around handle that was once chrome plated but is now almost rusted through.

Does anyone know where suitable handles can be found ? There is nothing obvious on the internet, certainly not in the UK ! The nearest is probably this from the USA http://www.go2marine.com/product/22728F/perko-sliding-window-handle.html

Thanks for any suggestions

Sorted!!

Thanks to everyone and thanks to Kellett Windows. This shows the old handle and the new one courtesy of Kellett Engineering.

I may well decide to cut down the long handle to make 2 (one for each side) that would be about the same length as the original handle

try Kellett engineering Leeds they made the windows for Normans and used to be called northern windows.
