Posted - 08 Jul 2013 : 22:53:03 Guys and Girls, Anyone moored at Sawley!!! 6 Boats on E Jetty have been broken into in the past week and one boat stolen, stripped and left at the flood lock as far as I am aware.
See Here; http://narrowboatworld.com/index.php/leatest/5934-major-thefts-from-sawley-marina

BWML seem to be keeping a low profile!?!
I spent Saturday night on my boat and was definitely woken at about 2 in the morning by the sound of an outboard something moving around the marina !!!

Posted - 09 Jul 2013 : 19:49:45 It's not unique to Sawley......
Marinas around the Gt Ouse and Nene area have ALL been visited at least once in the last 12 months. Mainly outboards taken.... but some other stuff.
Security is no protection, neither is locking the outboard to the boat. They have been known to take the transom off with a chain saw.
Many marinas in Norfolk have also been visited.
