Posted - 13 Jun 2013 : 11:20:48 I bought this Norman last year down in Gloucester, at what I considered to be a very fair price, from a lovely fella called Cliff. I bought a trailer( there expensive aren't they?!)and dragged it up to the Lake District where we live. Cliff "re designed" the interior to suit his needs, basically he got a jig saw and cut EVERYTHING out, and he didn't save any bit's for templates!. After a mishap with the canopy(jumped on from a great height, and smashed the support frame..) I had to sheet it up for the winter to keep the rain out, it leaked! and consequently ended up 2ft deep in water. I see other people have put pictorial progress of their Norman refurbs on here and some of the ideas have been very helpful to me so I thought that I would do the same. They show where I am up to at present. Trying to match the panels to the boat profile has been a bit of a mare, cutting bits of cardboard out and much cursing especially when I saw the cost of 3/4in marine ply...ouch. Any way if anyone is interested I will update as thing go along and hopefully show a finished product, its going onto the Lancaster canal eventually so Merlin maybe we will pass one another before the summer is out.
regards
John
