Sorry to be always asking questions but have just acquired Norman Conquest and crawling up learning curve! As well as canopy it has another big cover with eyelets, which looks as though it would fit over the windscreen and stretch to clips at back of canopy. Guess it is some form of tonneau cover.....but how does it work?? And when would you use it?? Again many thanks.

I had a tonneau or winter cover made for me by Coverit. It saves the weather damage of winter winds and summer UV light to the pram hood as already mentioned. I had to fix the eyes myself though as they had to line up with the pram hood fixing points. I also threaded through a bungee to fix it round the stern.

Trailer boats often have a canvas cover for the windscreen in case of stone chips on the highway.

Echo,echo,echo....
It'd good to remove a canopy over winter if you have another cover to reduce UV damage, also a boat on a trailer with a regular canopy will probably have it ripped off at any sort of speed by the wind/airflow.
It may have only had the cover before someone had a canopy made for it.
