Posted - 24 Jan 2013 : 00:39:57 Crazy weather! This was taken on the 13th of Jan just under 2 weeks from my previous picture of the flooded fields at Inglesham.
The fields were still a bit damp but the level has dropped 6 feet in those 13 days. At least you can walk to the river bank not wade!
Then last Sunday 20th Jan this is what the boat looked like. Inside was very cosy,(like a posh snow cave) didnt do any tinkering but dozed off listening to the football on the radio! |

Posted - 03 Jan 2013 : 23:16:09 Here is a pic taken on 1st of Jan 2013 several miles up stream of Reading at Inglesham above Lechlade. Where the narrowboats are in the back ground is where my Conquest (Gladys-May) should of been moored on the river. Its still on its trailer near the farm. Grrr! Between the 'lake' shore and the river and 3 feet below the surface is the airfield runway so the traditional new years day fly out was a no go as well. So frustrating. No wonder the pubs are doing good business out of me at the moment! |
